Neue Galerie: Sunder Suzani Umbrella

Madeline Weinrib designed an umbrella exclusive to the Neue Galerie in 2014. The design is based on Weinrib’s Suzani fabric called, “Sunder.” The fabric takes its inspiration from Wiener Werkstätte designer, Dagobert Peche, as well as the Ottoman Empire. Weinrib has had the honor of designing for the Neue Galerie in the past and this project was no exception. The museum is a jewel in NYC and houses Weinrib’s favorite museum store.
