Midcentury furniture classics reimagined: that’s the angle behind the designer Madeline Weinrib’s treatment of a score of notable pieces, which she upholstered in her signature prints. Displayed from Saturday to Sept. 3 at Sebastian & Barquet’s Southampton gallery, the collection includes Vladimir Kagan’s Erica chaise in lavender jacquard ($18,500), Osvaldo Borsani’s P32 lounge chair in dove-gray striped ikat on the back and dove-gray ikat on the front ($7,000) and a three-seat sofa by Ico and Luisa Parisi in brown-striped ikat (above, $45,000). “I wanted to pay tribute to the original designs,” Ms. Weinrib said, “while simultaneously introducing them to the viewer in a way they’ve never experienced the pieces before.” The exhibition is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., 67 Jobs Lane, Southampton, N.Y.; information: (631) 283-0456 or sebastianbarquet.com.
